Student iPad accessories are a necessary component of integrating iPads in the classroom.
With 6 and 7 year olds (first graders) sharing an iPad (2:1 student iPad ratio), the quality, durability, usefulness, and effectiness of each accessory in supporting students' greatest learning is very important to me.
iPad 2 case
The iPad case and a screen protector are essential accessories in protecting and preserving the iPad. After extensive research and case comparisons- the choice case was the Trident Kraken II Hybrid Case.
The Trident Kraken includes a silicone inner sleeve, polycarbonate plastic shell, silicone plugs over ports, and... a built in screen protector!

iPad 2 stylus
A stylus is a valuable accessory for student iPads in a first grade classroom.
Considering the length, width, and weight of the stylus to mimic a classroom writing utensil and the quality and durability of the stylus for student use- the choice stylus for student use on the iPad 2 was the Targus Stylus.

iPad 2 headphone splitter
A headphone splitter is a beneficial accessory with two students sharing an iPad. The headphone splitter allows two students to simultaneously use headphones and interact with one iPad.
The choice headphone splitter for two students sharing one iPad was the Belkin Headphone Splitter. (Belkin additionally sells "The Rockstar" headphone splitter that connects up to five headphones.)
-one headphone splitter for each iPad purchased by myself (the teacher)
iPad headphones
Although headphones and a headphone splitter are not necessary accessories, they are beneficial accessories.
Recognizing each child as an individual, parents will be asked to provide a pair of headphones, earclips, or earplugs for his/her child. This will ensure the comfort of use and the health safety of each student.
